album winner #2…we love our Graham girls!

One of my favorite bridal portrait sessions ever.  I just showed up with cameras.  She had the place picked out, she brought furniture and we just dealt with the bright light.  These pictures were taken in March of 2008 and Meghan won the album giveaway a few weeks ago! 

I am taking the weekend off (sortof) so it is time to get busy.  I hope to get all the albums won this month done this week.  So here is album #1. 

You can always count on a hairdresser to be up for an early Monday morning bridal session!  Thanks ladies for your completely trust and cooperation this morning.

She had me at “quotes” this time.  I tried to take pictures of all of them, so I could look back at them and smile later (who doesn’t love a good quote? right?).  My favorite one is the last picture though.  What a great 90th birthday party!

Everybody knows (or should know) how much I love it when the couples I have photographed (weddings) come in and bring their babies for me to photograph!  It is one of the best things about this job.  So, here is the latest little sleeper to visit me at the office…Congratulations to Julie and Jon!

I do not know where the time goes.  How can she be one? 

I was pretty sure she looked just like her daddy at first…

she surprised me with her love of the outdoors…she loved the drop the leaf, pick the leaf up game…

the light loved her, it was such a bad time of day to be taking pictures, I really can’t explain it… 

she may look like her daddy (I think anyway), but she loves her mommy!

I got so many cute pics like this…

and then there was this, quick grab, not quite right, but oh so perfect, picture… 

this was when she started to think “wait a minute, I missed my nap”…

then she gave me the warning…

but we hadn’t gotten her in her birthday outfit or chair yet, so please hold on for a little while longer…

not quite sure why I didn’t take the first warning, but she is being polite…

and one last adorable, don’t know how her mommy got it out of her, cuz she was oh so done!

About 5 minutes after I left, I got the text that I get pretty often “she’s been out since we got in the car!”

So, this shoot had been cancelled one time before due to weather and as I drove in and saw the clouds hovering, I was a little worried it was going to rain on them again.  But instead of rain, we had, seriously, the most humid shoot I have ever had.  I felt pretty bad for my subjects having to perform under such terrible conditions.  I would have preferred rain!  But they were wonderful, and adorable and easy, so we got it done.  The last spot we went to, we should have visited first, cuz it made me think of California and I could have done the entire shoot just on the front steps of this church (beautiful, they don’t make ‘em like that anymore). 

These two kids stoled my heart!…again!  OMG, get ready for the cuteness…

I wish everybody could have heard her Daddy sigh when I took this picture…I told him to get some more guns! 

oh, the cast…and the football face!  Love it.  I think he might have more casts when he has to fight all those fellas hittin’ on his little sister…

and little sister is going to get sick of all her friends saying “dang your brother is cute!”…

oh, she didn’t like him getting her umbrella, not one bit…

cuties!  and such good, sweet kids.  I love them.  They are mine.  All you photographers out there, keep your hands off them please.

Started at the park this morning.  Promise this is not a prop or backdrop, although it completely looks like it is to me!

I met the two big brothers last year…I needed running shoes that day…today wasn’t a whole lot different…until…wait for it 

Yes, I sure did put him in there.  It was perfect and the rollie pollies aren’t going to hurt anybody.

until we changed locations on them…we cornered them and told them there might be some critters so don’t go too far! 

and then the good times started to roll with these three cuties!

This is Landon, and he acts just like Mav and the camera loves him…

This is Hilton, and he acts just like Garrett, the camera loves him too, but you really gotta sneak up on him, although I love the serious face!!!!!! so much…
