the world needs more people like her!
She was a perfect subject and kept me entertained for several hours tonight. She’s a good girl and I am proud to be able to show her pictures here tonight. The only problem with this appt…see below…
They actually behaved themselves very well too. My head was probably less than 5 inches from them and I never knew they were there! I really should pay better attention! Be careful out there fellow photographers.

the first of many
Little out of order but still very cute. So happy to meet Miss Caitlyn and see her sweet cousin Hadley and aunt and mommy today. Just wish daddy had been there for some family photos! Maybe next time.
If you have been waiting to get some great pictures of your kids, don’t wait anymore. September is such a beautiful, and cooler, month to get those late summer pictures. We took these this morning and it was gorgeous out there.

time to go back to work
Before I get down to business, I must tell you what a wonderful vacation we had. We took a road trip (the first real loooooooooonnnnnggggggg road trip for the boys). We spent most of our time in Montana and we highly recommend it. People go to a National Park and soak up some NATURE! It was so refreshing. I can’t stop thinking about it and am ready to do it again. The beauty and love we were surrounded by brought tears to my eyes every day we were gone. We did a lot of hiking, saw a lot of wildlife (besides the children) and we even went river rafting. We are already planning another trip, to the Grand Canyon, because of all the wonderful things we experienced and don’t want to waste any time and want to see so much more of this great country we are so blessed to live in.
Now down to business. I think my head is clear and I am ready to look to the busy fall ahead. I have spent most of today trying to plan the rest of the year. Yip, it is already that time of year. I know I talk about it a lot. It helps me to stay focused and organized to say it all out loud and have it written down somewhere. So sorry if it bores you.
Tomorrow I will post a few more fall appt. times. I am waiting until then to make sure I give the people on the waiting list long enough to get back to me (so if you were on that list and haven’t gotten back to me, you better claim your spot before tomorrow morning!). This year’s weekend spots are not as numerous as in the past. A little weekday incentive for you though….all weekday session fees through the end of October are just $25. The weekend sessions are $45.
I have sent out emails to those of you who have album proofs to be approved. I am not picking on anyone. I have about 6 albums I REALLY need to get printed before October. If we wait until October I am not going to have time to order them before possibly December or January!
So, tomorrow be ready for those last weekend appt. times, the deadlines for Christmas orders, and some pricing information for the fall.

last summer wedding
Please pay close attention to the above bridesmaid dress. My new favorite dress. I guess I should have asked where they got them. I guess I was too busy taking pictures of them to ask. But seriously love them!
and how cute is this hanger?
the flowers perfectly complimented my new favorite dresses!
ringbearer…yes, ringbearer was a girl. Throw those rules out the window and do what you want.
First Sight, of course. She just wanted great pictures. Love her (and he is quite fabulous too)
I came back from Montana for this wedding….and it was completely worth it. I came back to a bride who said all she cared about was great pictures and my good friends The Two Clever Chicks.

Montana cousins
We can’t thank them enough for showing us around and giving us pointers on vacation. Oh, and they shared their huckleberries! They were super cool, super easy and picked the most amazing place to have their photos taken. I could go on and on, but honestly I am missing them and Montana a little too much right now (very emotional) to talk about it. Hope you like them. More to come soon. Thank you again and we love you all!

right after session
All this new wedding photography stuff must be confusion to some of you. First sight, first look, after session, photojournalism, no posing, blah, blah…what’s my point? Who knows? Just got into the office to load today’s wedding pictures because I am not working (hmmmm?) and Rachael will need to edit and post these this week, so I am waiting and thought while I am just sitting here drinking all the boys’ capri suns, I could be getting this wedding blogged….yah, it was hot out there today and I might be a little bit delirious. Anyway, here are a few pictures from Danielle and Daniel’s after session.
Now, an after session is like a bridal portrait or an engagement session, but in your wedding dress and tux. Some people do them the day after their wedding, but today we did these right after the reception. It took about 30 minutes, and they were such troopers, probably a little dehydrated now, but nobody passed out! When pictures are a priority some people will go the distance! Way to go Romoltons, these are just from one of the cameras. Thank you so much and congratulations. Talk to you after vacation.
