Great day today.  I finished another album and I booked three weddings.  Time to go home now and put on some cozy pants and watch some football with my boys!

Spring definitely was in the the air or maybe there wasn’t anything on TV in March or possibly everybody just wanted to get another little tax deduction before the end of 2010.  Whatever it was, there sure were a bunch of babies born in December!  And this little one just might be the easiest and fastest baby I have ever taken pictures of.

So stinkin’ sweet….all of them.

Cooper came to see me yesterday (all of two weeks old) and he brought some of his special people with him.  I got to snuggle with his cousin and chase his brother and I always love talking to his parents.  It was a good day.  Too bad it is so cold.  I would have loved to have met him outside.  Oh well, next time. 

I had not planned to go to Bridal Market this year.  We had a plan, but that plan has changed for next weekend, leaving me available.  So, I am still not going to be at Bridal Market, but I will be in the office from 10am to 4pm.  So, after or before you go to Bridal Market come see me.  I am going to be having drawings for prizes, a small gift for brides and maybe if I can pull it off some cake!  There will also be a discount for booking your wedding that day only in addition to the other January Special I have going of an extra $150 gift certificate.  So, just in case think this is hard to follow….like I do…

AND….I need you friends and blogstalkers help.  Tell all the brides and grooms you know about this, because it is short notice and word of mouth is the best advertisement.  And for every bride and/or groom who says you sent them to see me Saturday, you will get a $5 gift certificate. 

I am conveniently located (ha) across town from MPEC at 4708 Kmart Drive, Suite D.  I will be here from 10am to 4pm.  And you get to see everything I have, not just the stuff I can fit in a 10×10 booth. 

All photo sessions (no weddings) over 4 months old are on sale now for $100 for the entire CD (no extra edits) with copyrights.  $6 for shipping and handling if you cannot pick the CD up.  Sale lasts until Monday and then we are going to start deleting old sessions.

We are a little behind on albums…not entirely our fault…and are starting to play catch up now.  Now this is what I need you to do if I owe you an album.  Get on Pictage and make a favorites folder of your favorite 50-75 pictures for your album.  When your folder is done, please shoot me an email so I can make a note of it.  Now here is the new deal on albums.  When we get to your album on the list, if your album favorites folder is not ready and it is past your 6 month anniversary, you lose your album(s).  Again, I am not pointing to one person.  We do our best to get the albums done and proofed to you by your 6 month anniversary (that’s when your contract expires).  But when you do not cooperate and get your favorites chosen, that holds us up and in turn holds other albums up and gets us behind.  I have always been really nice and flexible about this one, but I cannot do it anymore because it is not fair to us or to the people below you on the list.  I appreciate and thank you for your cooperation. 

PS we are more than happy to design your album for you without an album folder if you would rather we do it that way.

January is the month for scheduling weddings.  All you newly engaged couples need to read this one.

First, we are giving a wedding photography package away.  I am picking a winner on Friday.  What you need to do to enter this giveaway is to email me (fotobydeedra@aol.com) with ALL your wedding details (the more details the better, because this time I am actually picking the winner myself).  This is for a local wedding, if there is travel involved, the winner must be willing to pay the travel.  My new charge for travel is $1/mile. 

The wedding package we are giving away includes 6 hours of coverage and your high resolution CD with copyrights.  Oh, and you have to do a first sight (see each other before the ceremony for pictures).

Doesn’t seem like many, but it will more than double pretty fast, so get your date booked before someone else gets it.  If you book your wedding in January you will get a $150 gift certificate added to your package.  To book your wedding you must fill out a contract and pay a $300 deposit.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
