I always love going to Wildcatter for weddings. I really just love Graham. Can’t wait for those summer drivein movies to get going!
the cabins are perfect for some great shots…
Ok, now I must go on and on about Ali’s hair. It was so perfect for her outdoor wedding….windy day wedding…she had a french braid into a side-pony tail! Yah, I am no hairdresser and may not know the technical terms for it, but I do know it was gorgeous and didn’t cause her (or me and my camera) any problems.
they did choose to see each other before the ceremony…YEA!
going to take all the posed portraits with family….done….out of the way…no waiting around after the ceremony…awesome!
Gary is even a real traditional guy…she wanted to have a destination wedding….he said “uh, no”…but he still agreed to the first sight and I am pretty certain he is happy he did….
Ali and nephew (and my little buddy) Noah, cutie pie!
beautiful sister Holly….
my second time to photograph a wedding behind the Wildcatter Hotel…love this spot for wedding ceremonies…
The new almost glassed in pavillion at Wildcatter…
“hi mom”….this is Graham in Graham…
Love the birdseed. Soapbox time. Forget about the sparklers guys…they are a nightmare to coordinate, get lit all together, get the people who have had a little too much to drink to do just right, and pictures are iffy with them, they burn out too fast and cause too much smoke. They are also dangerous, can burn your dress, or burn down your venue with the weather and wind we have been having. I recommend birdseed, any of the new environmentally friendly papers/confetti, bubbles (bubbles are so much fun), petals are gorgeous, sparklers are a pain. Yes, I am full of opinions these days, but in 11 years (yip, this month 11 years taking wedding photos!) I have seen sparklers work one time and I am not sure if the sparklers really worked or if the couple just looked so fabulous that I didn’t notice the sparklers failing.
Now, congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Gary Grace! I have so enjoyed our time together and I hope to see and talk to you often. God Bless and enjoy your Alaskan honeymoon!
