I always love going to Wildcatter for weddings.  I really just love Graham.  Can’t wait for those summer drivein movies to get going!

the cabins are perfect for some great shots…

Ok, now I must go on and on about Ali’s hair.  It was so perfect for her outdoor wedding….windy day wedding…she had a french braid into a side-pony tail!  Yah, I am no hairdresser and may not know the technical terms for it, but I do know it was gorgeous and didn’t cause her (or me and my camera) any problems.

    001

they did choose to see each other before the ceremony…YEA!

    002

going to take all the posed portraits with family….done….out of the way…no waiting around after the ceremony…awesome!

    003

Gary is even a real traditional guy…she wanted to have a destination wedding….he said “uh, no”…but he still agreed to the first sight and I am pretty certain he is happy he did….

    004

Ali and nephew (and my little buddy) Noah, cutie pie!

    008

    beautiful sister Holly….

    005

my second time to photograph a wedding behind the Wildcatter Hotel…love this spot for wedding ceremonies…

“hi mom”….this is Graham in Graham…

Love the birdseed.  Soapbox time.  Forget about the sparklers guys…they are a nightmare to coordinate, get lit all together, get the people who have had a little too much to drink to do just right, and pictures are iffy with them, they burn out too fast and cause too much smoke.  They are also dangerous, can burn your dress, or burn down your venue with the weather and wind we have been having.  I recommend birdseed, any of the new environmentally friendly papers/confetti, bubbles (bubbles are so much fun), petals are gorgeous, sparklers are a pain.  Yes, I am full of opinions these days, but in 11 years (yip, this month 11 years taking wedding photos!) I have seen sparklers work one time and I am not sure if the sparklers really worked or if the couple just looked so fabulous that I didn’t notice the sparklers failing.

Now, congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Gary Grace!  I have so enjoyed our time together and I hope to see and talk to you often.  God Bless and enjoy your Alaskan honeymoon!

Amanda came in from Dallas this week for me to take her senior pictures (wow, what a great compliment, thank you) and we went to Kickapoo Airport to take them!  Her and her mom had it all planned out and I loved all their ideas.  Amanda isn’t anything like I was when I was 17…she flies planes and is graduating in November in an accelerated program!  She is beautiful, so fun to be around, and has such great reflexes…she didn’t even hurt herself when she fell off the plane!…oh, to be 17 again!  We had a great time, even in the wind.  Hope you like them.

I always enjoy my time with these two.  They are so stinkin’ cute, so FUNNY and so SWEET to each other.  I am pretty sure I would take them home and keep them if their parents would allow it.  Thanks for another enjoyable hour together Villa family.  Can’t wait until next time!

Brady’s mom brought everything including something from the kitchen sink for his one-year birthday pictures.  She brought warm water and a swimming pool to clean him up in after he had his cake!  Brilliant!  Of course Brady was adorable and we played with his cars (I loved cars when I was little) and all his other fun stuff he brought.

Michael and Jody are brothers, Jessica and Rachael are best friends, and now Gavin and Arie are cousins!  How awesome are their holiday gatherings!  I am finally getting these blogged from the weekend.  I would write more, but Arie just left and my arm is a little tired from holding her for the last hour!
